I robot. . . you know, for kids!

CNN reports parents of newborns will soon be getting a better night’s sleep, thanks to a robot hand that senses the baby moving and rocks the cradle.

So. Just going through my layette must have list: a teddy bear that mimicks my heart beat, a SIDS sensor that sends off an alarm if the baby doesn’t move enough, and a machine that rocks the cradle if the baby moves too much. Oh Oh and get me some of that formula that makes the kid really smart and wearing a tuxedo at 14 months.

I read on a bit and discover that the robot that rocks the cradle also senses for temperature and movement, so it serves as a SIDS warning thingie so I don’t need one of those.

Somewhere, some mother is going to read this and believe that her baby is safer in a robot cradle than in her arms.

Holy Sh*t.
