where does he learn these words?

by

Amy Makice is a social worker actively working on two other family-centered projects, Creative Family Resources and Parenting for Humanity. Amy has a weekly online show on BlogTalkRadio.

Carter asked to do something, Kevin and I both vetoed it, Carter immediately went behind a chair, giggling.

“Carter,” I said, “You should know something about your parents. We’re both pretty smart.”

No response.

“That means,” I continued “that you can’t really pull off tricks like hiding behind the chair to do that.”

His head popped out from behind the chair. “But you should remember that I’m smarter than both of you!” He started a little happy dance and began chanting, “Smarter and keener, I’m smarter and keener!”

Kevin and I both deny having used the word “keen.”
