So Archie is at the age of ballooning vocabulary. It’s very exciting- seems every day he’s trying out new words. Sadly, he’s picked up a “sailor” word along with his numbers and colors. Sometimes, he’s trying to say “shirt,” or “sit,” but other times, there just isn’t a word other than the obvious that fits his efforts.

I first noticed it over the weekend when he fell and scraped his knee. He sadly pointed at the scrape and said,

“Shit.”

I said, “scrape?”

He said, “shit.”

This morning he’s sitting in Kevin’s lap, showing Kevin a cut on his finger.

He points at it and says, “shit.”

Kevin says, “Scrape.”

Archie says, “Shit.”

Kevin says “Scrape”

Archie says, “No, my shit. My Shit.”

At least he knows his shit, eh?
