I don’t get it.

I feel like Tom Hanks in the movie Big. I just don’t get it.

Stay home if you’re sick, but if you come in sick, we’ll print your name up in the newsletter and congratulate you and call you exemplary. We’ll talk about how you and your parents are “promoting excellence,” and give you an award. But they emphasize, “we all recognize the need for children to miss school for illness.”

So do the awards say, “We  applaud your immune system?”
