Handwriting is on the wall, even if this is still (at the moment) speculation until “the press conference.” I wonder if IU will openly look for a replacement right now and replace him before the season ends (ala Bill Frieder at UM) — no sense in doing that unless they have his non-interim replacement — or if this will be the freedom the team needs to get back on track. All I know is that that Michigan St. game, when Coach Davis will speak as much as the departing seniors, ought to be a bit depressing.
