Carter has a tendency to help himself to whatever he can find- you know, post-birthing items, feminine hygiene products, expensive bubble baths.
The kicker though, was this morning, when I discovered his Bionicle wearing a hemoroid pad for a blankie.

Ward Cunningham on Design Principles
Ward Cunningham’s impact on software is already significant. He is one of the founders of object-oriented patterns, the inventor of the wiki, and an original force behind eXtreme programming. He also worked with hypercard, which might be described as a proprietary wiki. The emergent effects of his contributions, though, are still in progress. It seems [...]
Comparing wikis to other things
In his keynote, Ward examined some differences between wikis and blogs. Apparently, whenever some unknowing reporter writes something about blogs, wikis inevitably are referenced and Ward Cunningham is contacted to explain what a wiki is. His answer? A wiki is a work made by a community; The blogoshpere is a community made by its works. [...]
Proprietary Wikis
As I continue to try and process all I learned at WikiSym 2006, I was struck by one thing Ward Cunningham suggested in his keynote last Wednesday about cross-wiki referencing:
It avoids hierarchy and redundancy, but gives away traffic.
A big obstacle individual authors have in contributing to a wiki is letting go of the proprietary nature [...]
A one-armed man did it

Offline Wikis
Not much activity on Monday afternoon on my “Offline Wikis” idea. The term obviously meant different things to different people, including:
Applying wiki philsophy to the offline world
Evidence of wiki interactions in real life discussion
How to access wiki content when not at a computer
Integration of offline users with online wiki article creation & editing
The issue of [...]
Post-modern Programming
I’m thinking Jeff needs to go to this conference on Post-Modern Programming. (NOTE: That last link hasn’t been working all week, but I think the people who run it were otherwise occupied this past week. Google is your friend, otherwise.)
