Killing some time on the wireless while waiting for a backed-up symposium (due to tech problems) to let out in the next room so this design eXchange workshop gets, um, attendees.

This was a rough week, work-wise, for many people submitting to CHI 2007. Eli, Youn and Erik were slated to do a workshop session on transforming virtual spaces into design studios. Eli was going to do a presentation, hoping it would just end and he could go drink beer (he’s a Canadian American, after all). Instead, we are doing a wiki presentation, inspired in part by Josh’s capstone last spring: What if we just showed one slide that said what the presentation was about, and then ask questions.

The format evolved into a live use of studio space on the design eXchange, where groups of people critique everyday (and OK, since they come from Eli’s house, some not-so-everyday) things. You may be able to follow along here, but unfortunately only if you can get past the IU account requirement being enforced by the system admin.
