Onion News Network arrives

Nothing like fake news to brighten the real world. The Onion—a satirical news source that needs no introduction, unless you subscribe to urban legends—has finally used some of that Miramax money to enter the video arena, competing with user-generated YouTube spoofs and televsion shows. Good luck to Todd Hanson and the rest. I wonder how much the creative process will change.

By Kevin Makice

A Ph.D student in informatics at Indiana University, Kevin is rich in spirit. He wrestles and reads with his kids, does a hilarious Christian Slater imitation and lights up his wife's days. He thinks deeply about many things, including but not limited to basketball, politics, microblogging, parenting, online communities, complex systems and design theory. He didn't, however, think up this profile.
