Archie’s going through a hitting phase lately. He’s unsuccessfully attempting to merge his violence and threats with our gentle parenting attempts at providing reasonable choices and limits. Observe:
Archie: I want to watch something when we get home.
Me: We’ve got the TV off during the week. You can play outside with me, or we could go [...] - The next phase for Informatics
There is a nice write-up in the IU Alumni Association magazine about the IU School of Informatics. The article gives a nice historical overview of how the program came to exist and talks about the transition. I think it is important that when the new dean arrives this summer, he is greeted with a stack of position papers from various groups within our Informatics community.
- Farm boy
Today Carter’s’ class went to Pedon Farms for a very fun field trip. There were enough parent volunteers that each parent just had two kids to watch- which believe me, was enough in the chaos. We started off with a hayride- here are some snippets of conversation:
