IMified

This post was composed and submitted to BlogSchmog through my AIM account. I’m not sure why I might want to post this way, but I like the extensibility that IMified makes possible through its widgets. After publishing through chat, I contemplated using (or not using) this blogging channel in the future.

Hide ‘n Tweet

From the Twitter blog Sunday evening came a pointer to the best use of Twitter outside of recycling Steven Wright jokes. Inspired by Richard Connell’s 1924 short story, “The Most Dangerous Game,” The Least Dangerous Game is a social hide ‘n seek activity for the Minneapolis-St. Paul community. Me: (thinking crap we only have two eggs left!) Really? How many eggs?
Archie: (as though speaking to a lunatic) [...]

You don’t ping me flowers anymore

t has been a month since TechCrunch and Robert Scoble mentioned a new site for virtual flowers, “They’re Beautiful.” The concept is that people would send each other little graphically-pleasing bouquets of free flowers, enticing community members to recruit friends and keep returning to the site over time to sprinkle fake water over the fake cuttings, keeping them vibrant. Although, in practice, it hasn’t worked out well for the bouquets, perhaps I’ll send the florists flowers when they return to work on August 20.

Don’t tug on Superman’s Cape, and other advice

Carter spent the first part of our boating journey alone at the front of the boat, wind blowing his hair, looking serious. He was busy contemplating Jim Croce.

CommonCraft

A post by Bloomington’s Flash guru Derek Franklin introduced me to the CommonCraft Show yesterday. Now, I’m anxiously awaiting the next video installment of their technology education series.
