I’m sure the hormones of early pregnancy played into my reaction- the fact that one of Kevin’s grad school buddies was tweeting about a VPILF probably didn’t warrant tears- but the tears came anyway, accompanied by dagger glares to Kevin for being male and already knowing what VPILF meant.

We Go Together: Misogynists and boobophobes

Bottom line- I’ve said it before, but it deserves a recap: The principles at work here are about more than covering up, or sitting in a restroom stall while nursing your baby. They are about more than modesty or making sure everyone is comfortable. If women’s bodies weren’t already sexualized and obectified, no one would care when a baby nurses.

Healthy Kids, Happy Parents

Now though, we face wondering which child might have the fewest health problems so we can cut him out of our insurance plan. Perhaps the hole in Carter’s ear can wait another year. Archie’s always been pretty healthy outside of his teeth. Maybe we should let them swing in the uninsured breeze and make sure the unknown baby has full coverage just in case.
