I’m exhausted. I had to schedule a night of sleep before the three-day marathon at City Hall, and it was difficult to fall asleep. It was amazing to see the council chambers fill up. Not all of our hundred hoosiers made it through the front door, but we generated a bunch of ideas with merit. The one we chose deals with event search.

My favorite video production company, CommonCraft, put out another in their series of “paperworks” videos explaining how things work. This time, about blogs. As part of the CHI 2005 Student Design competition, I once dabbled in paper puppets and video myself.
Hidden communities
Two examples of how latent readership can become real-world interaction, courtesy xkcd and Homeless Man Speaks. When we are able to connect the little things we read with the humans behind them, the world grows significantly smaller.
