Good TED, Bad TED

The content and sense of community generated by TEDxBloomington exceeded all expectations. The interaction with the national organization, however, made for a bittersweet experience. Future TEDx events need to better integrate with the ecosystem of local events.

Funding the Community Arts

The Wisdom of Play is a suite of community engagement activities taking place in May 2011. We are trying to raise at least $2000 to cover the material costs using Kickstarter.

Boldly Go To Max’s Place

On April 6th, the Bloomington Geek Dinner attendees will hear an Indianapolis band, Five Year Mission, whose goal is to write an original song for every Star Trek episode.

The City of Bloomington officially announced its participation in social media, reminding us that network value is as much relational as it is structural.

The Box

The new studio facility for SproutBox opened with local fanfare. “The Box” is well-lit, roomy, and filled with interesting art.
