The Zombie Tabernacle Choir

The Internet is filled with strange and beautiful things. At some point, most of them come to the attention of Ze Frank.

Zombie Tabernacle Choir
Zombie Tabernacle Choir is a scream

Yesterday, amidst all of the ice storm anticipation, Ze tweeted a link to a Zombie Tabernacle Choir, a grand piece of web flotsam similar to his own roots as a content creator. It is what you might expect from that title—a choir of zombies singing—but it is strangely compelling in the same way many of the interactive iPhone apps are. To make the zombies sing, you have to click on their heads. That can last a while, if you find it as engrossing as I did.

The ZTC is the work of Quality-Schnallity (I name I can admire). John Schnall has a demo reel and YouTube channel that feature a wide range of applications for his animation talents, including commercials, music videos and web company promotions. He spent about a decade producing a radio show (“Midnight Madness“), mixed live, based on clips from television and movies There are also some old interviews with him that may be enlightening.
