Holy Cow! I did a Google search for Playmaker only as a reference for the previous post, figuring the Internet would be have some small contingent of former fans of a defunct game. Instead … Playmaker for OSX!
I have only played two computer games passionately — Playmaker and Hardball — and I stopped obsessing over both when games like these seemed to die out with a Jobs-less Mac business strategy. I’m elated that I’m going to get to play this game again. (Of course, another reason I didn’t jump on the Madden NFL bandwagon way back when was a fear of it becoming an all-consuming hobby. But then, maybe there is a paying summer project out of this find …)

Well, after further review … not so much. I need to Google for why when I play as a human (computer-computer simulation is fine, but dull) I constantly get called for delay of game. I can’t get a play off. This happened, as I recall, when I got a version for my old Quadra. The slightly faster processing seemed to make everything go too fast. As I recall, that’s why I stopped playing …
