Hep, 2, 3, 4 …

Don’t look now, but with a convincing win at The Rock today, the Indiana Hoosiers — who hadn’t had a Big Ten winning streak of more than one game in a decade, and who hadn’t defeated a ranked team in almost two decades — are looking at a legitimate shot as some bowl game. The first and most important criteria is to be a winning team. Sitting at 5-4 overall and 3-2 in the Big Ten, the Hoosiers under Coach Hep have a good chance to finish with two wins in their final three games and finish 7-5, 5-3. Even at home, beating the #2-ranked Michigan team would be a minor miracle, but then there is winless Minnesota and a down year for rival Purdue. Even if they finish .500, beating Purdue on the 18th would cap a successful season.

But bowlin’ would be nicer.
