Dress Like Coach Sampson

This just came in from Rivals.com:

IU students are organizing and promoting this Saturday’s game vs. Illinois as “Sampson Out” and asking fans to dress like Coach Sampson. This is a nationally televised game and they are hoping for a great response from everyone at the game.

I’m not sure I have anything that matches. Nor am I keen on wearing a tie (though it might thrill my father-in-law to know I did so willingly). I wonder if I could get one of those fake clip-on types, or a light-blue tee-shirt with a red tie painted on the front. Maybe I could go retro and get a big red sweatshirt.

Let me just say, Bruce Weber is every bit the jerk I thought he was. I long for the days of Lon Kruger and Bill Self, when I liked the Illinois coach. The entire place is quiet on free throws for IU, and Weber is yelling at the top of his lungs shouting directions or jawing at the refs. And he looks ridiculous in his dark suit and white shoes.

Carter is a great-looking player. Wish we had him.
