Archie and Carter had Max and Maddie over to play yesterday. Archie was awakened from his nap and was somewhat cranky, so the playdate was not without its speed bumps. My favorite though, was from Max.
Max: (Hurrying past the cat’s table to get me) Amy? Amy? Archie is coming inside to (stops to massage the packet of fishy cat food and then completely ignores me) Amy? Archie is coming inside to, is the cat awake? Can I give her food? (more tuna massage)Amy? Archie is coming inside to tell on me.
Me: So, just so I’m clear– you’re coming inside to tell on Archie, for telling on you?
Max: (tearing himself away from the cat food long enough to answer) Yes. (turns to leave, then turns back, smiling) Get it?
