Healthy Squirrels

Today we were at Upper Cascades Park and I had a Luna Bar.

We went to play in the park and when we were gone, a squirrel took my Luna Bar. It bit open the wrapper and it ate it.

We came back and looked for my Luna Bar and it wasn’t there. Later, when I was eating Archie’s Luna Bar, I saw the squirrel in a tree and it was eating half of a Luna Bar.

I think he’s a funny squirrel.

Welcome to the Blogosphere!

Also, squirrels are funny. I ran into one this morning that ate a bagel, fruit and bread.

This week our pesky, funny squirrel who ate everyone’s bird seed, electrocuted himself by running across the power lines. He landed on his smoking back outside our backyard. He blew the transformer and 3600 people lost power for three hours. He left this word like he lived his life – boldly. This is the 2nd time this has happened near where I live. Can it be that hanging out by a redhead can kill you?
OI.
Catherine, the redhead

With a little help from mom, this is Carter’s first official blog entry. We’re going to have to work extra hard now to keep him away from Tyler. An MMOG obsession is only a short conversation away. I’m pretty certain I don’t want my 7-year-old pwning me.

The squirrel stole the food from a newly wed couple and their parents. That’s like stealing from a brother X 10.

Actually, Tyler is fibbing a little. The squirrel was very polite and waited by the table for someone to feed him. So I did, and he was very thankful. This squirrel had manners and did not steal!

Carter is quite delighted to be reading all these comments- except of course about the squirrel that bit it on the power cord- but has yet to be persuaded to reply. One step at a time. . . .

For the record, Carter’s first post is the most commented on story in BlogSchmog history.

We don’t have squirrels where I live. But once when we went camping in a national park we had to zip up our tent tightly and close up all our food boxes to stop these characters from getting in: http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/npws.nsf/Content/The+brush-tailed+possum AND http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/npws.nsf/Content/Bandicoots AND http://www.amonline.net.au/factSheets/australian_magpie.htm. But not all at the same time thank goodness!! The bandicoot and possum raided us at night because they are nocturnal.

Tyler: That’s really funny.

Redhead: That’s really sad.

AJ: Maybe. . . .

Aunt Meg: Thanks. I love it too.

Natalie: I guess so- LOL

Sue: Those animals look really cute.
